What is your experience of VR Social Application Culture?

This question allows the participant to reflect on if social VR is working for them in general. It's usually a mix for most people and leaving this question open-ended allows it to be a seed-question to keep one asking themselves this and discussing it with friends beyond filling out this survey!
  • Positive overall. Better when I am with women or with friends.
  • Great thus far, I think mainly because I have only been in ____________.
  • It can be an amazing experience with friends, but public environments are generally pretty toxic. _________ is currently an exception, but also very new community. Often not a lot of deep or meaningful connections, but have developed some in ___________.
  • It is my favorite thing about VR--being able to connect with people socially from all parts of the world! ________ is my favorite social VR app. I really love the user-friendly world building functions and the way __________ is a friendly place from the start of one's journey in the ________.
  • 75% positive interactions, about a quarter of the time I get some jerk saying rude, aggressive, or sexual things.
  • _________ has a very unique and mature atmosphere. We’ve only recently started seeing the “screamer” kids like we see in _________. I look forward to more controls to lower their voices.

_________ breaks apart from the norm and encourages a culture around creativity. As an introvert I had no intention to work with others to build worlds, other than my few real life friends who were in ________. This feeling slowly changed and now building with others new and old is one of my greatest pleasures! :)
  • Depends. Places like _________ have been great. Multiplayer app ___________ is full of quality people. __________ is ok: BUT anything else is garbage and men are toxic and overly sexual or rude and harass you if you’re a woman.

Research results on Survey. These answers are deidentified and only ones that seem to reflect relevance and additional perspectives are published. Answers with quotation marks around them are ones that have been verbally gathered while in VR.
